Bars and Establishments

Playafun has had enough trouble getting its reporters to cover fiestas, but when we've sent them to cover those Sitges discos where the girls get to take their tops off and the boys waggle their bare bums, they get horrendously drunk and come back with pictures too rude to publish. So unfortunately our bars section is a bit smaller than we would have wished.

Phillip's Bar

Streuth, I never would have imagined doing a web site could be so stressful. First I have the Mayor of Cincinnati, whoever he is, disturbing my quality time with my Fiancey: lying about in bed, drinking champagne and spitting out cherry pips. Apparently talk radio programmes there have been flooded with callers wanting to know more about Phillip's Bar, and the National Guard have had to be called out more than once.

Then I had Hillary Clinton on the phone, interrupting the bullfighting on telly, live from the St Fermin festival in Pamplona too. It seems she's decided to stand for Congress and could I do her a little favour. All right, ot'sa fine. I went out especially to Bar Les Tapes in search of a journalist with the usual high standards we at Playafun require. So we are pleased to announce that Luigi Linguiniis now on our staff and has come up with a stunning report on Phillip's bar. He also seems to have tracked down Debbie from Photocopying who appears to have become a big celebrity in Sitges.

The Viniteca

Of course, in the end, Sitges was just too small for us and we had to move to the Big City.

We start with La Viniteca, an old vintners' that's been on c/Agullers in the Ribera since 1932, where you can admire old bottles of Marques de Riscal, and go to their vins novells wine-tasting street party. Wow!

La Boqueria

More famous than the Liceo Opera house, La Boqueria Market has been around for ages. Off season, this is the first place I take people to (in the summer it's the beach).

Now with full 800 x 600 pixel resolution, come enjoy the delights of the Boqueria, and don't forget to stop by Pinoccio's to check out the latest in the world of football.
