The bit with Hankies

The dances performed by the Black Horse Morris come from villages in the Cotswold Hills in the south west of England. Traditionally, the white hankies and the bells were used to frighten away evil spirits at the time the crops were planted and the higher you jumped, the higher the crops would then grow.

The Black Horse Morris perform a near perfect half gyp.

The chorus of Step and Fetcher from the village of Bampton performed on tiptoes.

One of Tony's favourites is the Bottoms Up in The Black Joke from the village of Adderbury.
