Carnestoltes
 And while the Groups danced, Carnestoltes, King of Carnival, began to get ready in some dark alley. |
 All of a sudden, there were flashing lights, bangs and firecrackers to be heard...

 ...King Carnestoltes had arrived, running through the crowd on stilts.
I must say, though, I was a bit scarred of him. Especially when he jumped right into the crowd, murmuring "Marina, you're going to pay for the continual degradation of the town you rule over." But he proved to be harmless and would just move on. |
 There was no danger of the fireworks running out on this night. His minions were pulling a large cart behind him, full of crackers and other surprises:
Carnival was going to last all through the night!
